Industrial Textile Products - Turbidity Barriers

WINFAB Turbidity Barriers are available in both floating and staked versions.

WINFAB's line of floating turbidity barriers are ideal for controlling silt, floating vegetation, and other debris in ditches, streams, canals, marshes, ponds, and lakes. Our floating turbidity barriers are comprised of a top floatation boom, impermeable curtain of fabric that extends downward into the water and a heavy galvanized steel chain sealed into a hem along the entire bottom of the curtain. This chain provides ballast which keeps the curtain vertical in the water. End hems are sealed around a rope and grommeted for easy attachment to each other with rope or bolts, nuts, and washers.

WINFAB's staked turbidity barrier is an ideal solution for rerouting storm water runoff to desired channels or other locations. Our staked turbidity barrier is made of yellow PVC coated polyester fabric and can be used in up to 18 inches of water. Its installation is similar to silt fence. It is typically installed 8" below the grade leaving 36" of fabric above the grade. It is secured to wooden or metal posts.
